And just like that it's October! *gasp* As we feel the weather getting colder and the evenings drawing in, we've found something that you will love as well as keep you warm all through Autumn...
-
It's the Pumpkin Spiced Latte! But this time it's HOMEMADE.
-
No need to travel to find your nearest Costa, or visit Starbucks three times a day, and you might as well cancel that Pret coffee subscription… Below is the best HOMEMADE Pumpkin Spiced Latte on the internet (we're obsessed at MRK).

Ingredients
⦁ 2 cups milk, whole, 2%, or skim
⦁ 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree, or to taste
⦁ 1 tablespoon light brown sugar, packed
⦁ 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
⦁ 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin-pie spice
⦁ 1/2 cup strong coffee (we use instant expresso)

Optional
⦁ Sugar, to taste
⦁ Whipped cream
⦁ Pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or cinnamon, for garnish
-
Microwave Instructions
1. Pour the milk, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin-pie spice, and vanilla into a microwave-safe bowl.
2. Cook for 1 minute to 1 minute 30, or until milk starts to rise up and is frothy.
3. Pour into mug, add the coffee, garnish with whipped cream and nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, or cinnamon.
4. Serve hot.

Notes

⦁ Pumpkin Spice Latte tastes best with Whole Milk, but you can use whatever you prefer.
⦁ Add sugar to taste; if you like a sweeter coffee, stir in more sugar after you've heated up the milk mixture.
⦁ If you want a stronger pumpkin flavour, add more pumpkin puree.
